Every fiber in your being is screaming “You failed them! They trusted you, and you failed!”. Their time is coming close to an end, but you go over time, because inside, you still believe something has got to help.

You wait for them as they come out, and you ask them how they feel, but you already know the answer.

Can you identify with this situation? We got into this work to help people, but sometimes we need help providing that help. Hi! I’m Joseph Liles, founder of the Orthopedic Bodywork Society. I help massage professionals, who want to become orthopedic professionals, achieve that goal.

I have been on this journey for more than 30 years. I have felt the frustration of not being able to help those who come to me. I have felt the irritation from a lack of guidance in this profession, and the pain of not having the resources I needed for answers I was looking for.

I have also felt the joy of success that comes from helping my patient. The sweetness of telling a patient that they are released of my care, and the satisfaction that can only be felt when the community of both doctors and patients, refer others to you.
